Annika Storey, D.O., FACOS, is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Acute Care Surgery at the University of Iowa. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor in the Division of Acute Care Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She is originally from Michigan and received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University Lyman Briggs School in 2005, and then received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. Dr. Storey completed her internship at the University of Pittsburgh-Mercy Hospital in 2010, her general surgery residency from the Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, OH in 2014, and a two year fellowship in Acute Care Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN in 2016. She is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Critical Care. An active member of the ACOS, she serves on the ACOS Continuing Education Committe representing General Surgery, the In-depth Review Committee and as Secretary-Treasures of the General Surgery Discipline. She received an ACOS Presidential Citation at the 2019 Annual Clinical Assembly for her role on the IDR Committee. She resides in Iowa City, IA with her husband, Chris Geiger.
