Alexandra (Aly) Skoczek is a fourth-year medical student at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Auburn. Aly graduated from Lake Forest College with her Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Philosophy in 2018. She then received her Master in Public Health from Emory University - Rollins School of Public Health in 2020 where she had a concentration in genetic and molecular epidemiology. Currently, she is completing her clinical education at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Alabama. On a national level, Aly is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS), American College of Surgeons (ACS), and Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT). On a local level, Aly is a medical student representative on the Madison County Medical Society and Medical Society for the State of Alabama. Her current research focuses on clinical outcomes following hernia repair in patients with comorbidities. She plans on applying to general surgery for the 2024 Match.
