Jamie Sheehan is a third-year medical student at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dublin, Ohio. She holds a bachelor’s degree in molecular and Cellular Biology, earned from Cedarville University and has two years of experience as a research technician at Battelle Memorial Institute.
Jamie is dedicated to her medical studies, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing healthcare and positively impacting the lives of patients. She actively engages in research initiatives including mobile health interventions, sacroiliac joint fusion surgery for lower back pain, and most recently, Bertolotti syndrome in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic. Her devotion to advancing medical knowledge has culminated in the publication of a scoping review in the Assistive Technology journal.
As she progresses toward her goal of becoming a physician, Jamie remains steadfast in her pursuit of personal and professional growth. She aspires to specialize in neurosurgery, aiming to contribute significantly to medical research that enhances patient care. Beyond her medical pursuits, Jamie finds enjoyment in activities such as water skiing, sand volleyball, and cherishing her role as an aunt to her four nieces and nephews.
