Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine
My name is Edward Wu and I am a 4th year medical student at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. I have a background in healthcare and technology, with experience in both clinical and research settings. As a co-Investigator on a hospital-funded project, I initiated research efforts and lead a team of colleagues to increase patient portal recruitment, resulting in improved patient engagement and communication with healthcare providers. As a research assistant for a NIH-funded grant, I laid the groundwork for the proposed research by developing clinical decision support tools for primary care patients with hypertension and chronic kidney disease, under the guidance of Dr. Lipika Samal. I am currently a research assistant at Jefferson Heath Urology and provide manuscript and data analysis support. I have experience in descriptive statistics and regression methodology.
