Dr. Fan is an assistant professor of surgery and clinical breast surgeon at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Fan received her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center/TCOM and completed her general surgery residency at OhioHealth/OUCOM in Columbus, Ohio. She is a board-certified general surgeon and completed a breast surgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.
Previously, Dr. Fan practiced at Indiana University where she was the Assistant Program Director of the Breast Surgery Fellowship and the IU Health West Hospital Breast Director.
Dr. Fan is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. She has served on several committees including the ASBS Fellowship Program Directors committee, ASBS Selected Readings committee, ASBS Young Surgeons Working Group committee, ACOS Awards committee, ACOS In-Service Exam committee, and the ACOS Scientific Exhibits and Poster Sessions committee.
